About.
Clive Rosfield is the eldest son of Elwin Rosfield. Expected to inherit the power of the Phoenix, Clive proved a disappointment to his mother when he was rejected, leading to his younger brother Joshua being granted the gift. As a result, Clive became his brother's Shield: sworn to protect him and use a portion of the Phoenix's power to defend him, no matter what might happen.
After the various losses he felt during his life, Clive became bitter and jaded with the world until he fell into the group led by Cid Telamon, who helped show him a better future for himself and the world. At heart, Clive is kind, determined and dedicated to his duty, no matter what form that duty takes, and would do anything for the people he cares about, even at the cost of his own life.
WARNINGS: Clive's canon deals with a lot of dark themes, including: enslavement, mass murder, suicide, dehumanisation, sexual assault, the horrors of war, drugs and prostitution. These things won't come up randomly but I will always give a content warning.
